The cathedral's resident male sitting in a most unusual place. In all the year's I've been watching the cathedral birds, I've never seen any of the birds right at the top on the weather vane. Second in the UK only to Salisbury Cathedral, the spire is 315 feet high (96 m). I don't know if the weather vane is included in the height, if not he's even higher. I was standing in the cloisters of Norwich Cathedral this morning, watching the peregrine family on the spire, when this juvenile came down to investigate a fallen carcass. I've never been so close before. - June 2018
